My favorite time of the year is just around the corner, and I can barely contain my excitement! Although most of us Austinites dread all the visitors, traffic, and limited parking, no one can deny that SXSW is a huge part of Austin culture we are so lucky to enjoy. Well, last week the list of the 2000 + bands that will be playing from March 12-17, all over the city was released, meaning we all need to step up our game. Now is the time to make a list of who you want to see, where you want to be, and begin searching for free shows. It’s time to start RSVP’ing your heart out to all the parties, whether or not you actually plan on making it or not. RSVP is always the answer for SXSW. Check out the list of bands playing, and start creating a schedule on the SXSW site, from there I suggest looking up where the bands are playing and if there are any parties in the venue. So far I’ve only RSVP’d to some parties on Rainey Street, and I recommend you do to! Make sure to keep your eyes open for Fader Fort’s lineup and RSVP timing, I am determined to make it there this year. Until then, rsvpster.com will keep you updated with all the news you need.

SXSW can be stressful, but is worth it. The free booze, music, people, and whole vibe Austin has is perfect, and I cannot wait to see what this year brings.
(I really hope I get to see this live, and it that it will be just like the scene in Girls)
